WOMEN’S MINISTRY NEWSLETTER
FIRST QUARTER, 2012
Well, another year has come and gone. Happy New Year. It is hard to believe we are already planning many events for 2012. This first quarter will be a busy one. Please announce these events at your next circle meeting. Thank you.
First, we will be having the Re3 (Refresh, Renew, Recharge) event on Saturday, February 18th. This event will be held at the Bob Martin Meeting Center from 8:45 a.m. until 1:00. A light breakfast and refreshments will be served. Our speaker this year is Cindi McMenanmin, author and speaker. Her topic will be “When You’re Running on Empty”. Please check out the church’s website to read more about Ms. McMenanmin. The cost is $20 before Feb. 10th, and $25 after that time. Please mark this on your calendar and plan to attend.
Second, Women’s Day will be held on Sunday, February 26th. Our team is in the process of finalizing the details of this day. However, we do have our speakers. Betsy Skinner will be speaking at the 8:30 service about the Honduras Medical Clinic and updating us on its progress. Pat Montgomery will be speaking at the 11:00 service. Many of you heard Ms. Montgomery at our salad supper in September. The Lord just kept placing on my heart to ask her again to come to Memorial Baptist Church. She will be speaking and painting and singing. You will not want to miss either service---both will be a blessing.
Third, it will soon be cake time again. We are asked to provide cakes at the Vintage Inn on Wednesday, March 21st. It is suggested we provide seven cakes and three diabetic desserts. I will be putting a reminder in the bulletin beginning in February. As always, I will need 4 or 5 persons to help cut and serve the cakes.
REMINDER: There is a Mission Mosaic for each circle. Leaders please remember to pick these up. They are in the WMU box across from Dean’s office. I try to remember to check the box and hand out the magazines on Wed. nights, but I can’t always find each of you. Try to use some of the information in this mission magazine at each of your meetings if at all possible.
Please feel free to call on me if you have any questions or suggestions or if I can help out in any way. Thank you for volunteering to be the leader of your circle. Each of you are very valuable. God bless you as you go about His will.
