JANUARY 2009

 

International Missions & the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering  We exceeded our goal! As of Dec. 30 we had received $13,982.35. Our goal was $12,500. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Lottie Moon post office collected over $70 ! Also thanks to our Mission Friends who turned in banks of money.

 

Thanks to those who donated to the Toystore. Toys were provided to over 700 families.

 

Please remember we collect unused offering envelopes for dispensing medicine overseas. There is a collection tub in the atrium.

 

Our project for January is collecting items for the Ronald McDonald House in Greenville. Items needed are listed (PLEASE do not contribute anything not on the list):

    Pudding cups                 Fruit cups                 Nabs                Pop-Tarts            Brownie Mix

    Single-serving size cereal boxes                             Postage Stamps             Clorox wipes

    Aluminum Foil                  Single-serving size cookies, chips, etc.

    Gallon-size Ziploc bags            STYROFOAM plates                           canned soup –NO TOMATO

The annual Women on Mission Luncheon will be at The Memorial in Greenville, Sat., Feb. 14th at 10 am. The speaker is Renea Henderson as Ima Clutz.

 

Children’s Day (grades 1-6;boys & girls) will be Feb 28th  from 10 am till 2 pm at Washington First.

 

Please remember the suggested donation of $2 per member for the college students’ VALENTINE remembrance. Please give this to Shelby Hughes or Jean Harris, our college committee. Please remember students now and then with a card to let them know you are thinking of them.   

 

Be in prayer for missionaries all around the world, also the lost, sick, homebound, jobless, stressed, depressed, etc. Have a blessed, joyful New Year serving the KING OF KINGS. May your relationship become deeper and more fulfilling than ever.
